Since working privately for a large wild quail hunting operation in south Texas, I've come to appreciate what a bird dog is exposed to in this hot, humid, and very thorny country.

We use pointers exclusively in our operation and part of my job is acquiring prospects for our kennel. We keep from 85 to 100 dogs in various stages of development. A great deal of our success I credit to Phantom kennels and their excellent breeding program.

A very high percentage of the prospects I acquire from Phantom Kennels go on to make the caliber of dog we're looking for in our kennel. We strive to find dogs with strong noses, toughness, and an intense desire to find quail.
